Kansas 4-H Discovery Days is planning to be in-person on KSU campus June 4-6th, 2025.
When: June 4-6th, 2025
Who: Youth ages 13-18 before January 1, 2025 are invited to register

Discovery Days is a mini college experience designed for youth who are 13-18 years of age as of
January 1. Youth will have the opportunity to select classes and attend social functions.
The primary purpose of 4-H Discovery Days is to gain new ideas and expand your 4-H experience. You
experience this through action-oriented learning activities, fun tours, and great evening social events.
You will meet new people, build leadership skills, and grow as a person!
4-H Horse Identification Certificate
The 4-H Horse ID Certificate has been updated for the 2025 4-H program year. Please destroy pre-
vious versions of the ID form and use the updated certificate moving forward.
Per updated 4-H Horse Show rules, the 4-H Horse Identification Certificate
must be used to properly ID 4-H horse projects by June 1 of the current pro-
gram year. Breed registration papers will no longer be acceptable forms of
Coggins Test for Horses Required
You will need to require proof of a negative EIA (Coggins) for horses at your local
shows beginning in 2025.
Local shows require proof of negative Coggins test within the last 12 months per the updat-
ed KDAH requirement. Here's an example of what the rule in your rulebook could be: "All
exhibits in the 4-H Horse Show must present proof of negative Coggins test within the last
12 months at check-in."
